Comfort Food Overload

The family-style dining is a must-try at The Smith House. The experience felt just like a home-cooked meal, with an abundance of options including fried chicken, pot roast, and all the vegetables you can imagine. Everything is served steaming hot, and the friendly atmosphere makes it even more enjoyable. I appreciated the ease of just passing dishes around the table. The fried okra was the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this dining experience.

Charming and Comfortable

Fun History Experience

One of the unique features at The Smith House is the mining gold videos displayed in the basement lobby area. It added an entertaining historical touch to my stay. It was fascinating to learn about the local history while enjoying the comfortable setting. I had a mixed experience at The Smith House in Dahlonega. The location is fantastic, right off the square, and the Southern food was incredible and served family-style. However, I ran into some trouble with the room I booked, as it was still under construction, which was frustrating. If you decide to stay here, just make sure to double-check that your room is ready and not in the middle of renovation.
